GRAPHIC DESIGNER/COPYWRITER
D2 is looking for a qualified GRAPHIC DESIGNER/COPYWRITER to create original content for local, regional, and international customers, as well as corporate use. The ideal candidate will have relevant graphic design and copywriting experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to take initiative. This individual should be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail, and a customer-centric attitude.
In this role, you will work with others to create instructional and marketing materials, such as consumer product documentation, packaging, and product pages. The ideal candidate will be creative, a fast learner and able to easily adapt to rapid changes. Our sole focus is on customers and providing best-in-class content. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other team members to create and develop user-friendly documentation, such as user manuals, quick setup guides, labels, and more for consumer products
- Understand product functionality by reviewing source materials, and/or working with product samples
- Manage desktop publishing of setup guides, marketing sheets, labels, and more, applying style guidelines and standards for multiple clients and/or brands
- Research and leverage available data to write engaging marketing content that reflects customer brand voice, adheres to style guidelines, and complies with data standards
- Create vector-based product illustrations, as needed, for customer product materials
- Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs for use in persuasive copy concepts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in communications, graphic design, marketing, digital media or similar field; or 2+ years relevant professional work experience
- Copywriting, document design/desktop publishing, and technical illustration experience
- Technical aptitude, critical thinking and ability to understand product functionality
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Resourceful, able to take initiative, multi-task, take direction from multiple sources
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite publishing software, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with both digital and print requirements
- Video creation and/or editing experience with Adobe Premier, is an advantage, but not required
